This is a website I built a while back. With this one, I really leaned into expression and branding, pushing the visual identity as far as I could without sacrificing structure or usability.

It was about finding that sweet spot where personality and clarity work together instead of competing.

Kōrero is a publication I design and produce as part of my work with the Society of Mary. Each issue has its own theme, and my role covers visual direction, layout, image treatment and print preparation. The spreads below are chosen to demonstrate typography, pacing and composition without relying on dense article content.

The identity was approached as a system rather than a standalone mark. The focus was on proportion, balance and consistency across applications, ensuring the crest retained its integrity at every scale. Rather than adding embellishment, the work centred on refinement, spacing and disciplined typography so the symbol could speak with clarity. The result is a visual language that feels grounded and institutional, yet adaptable across print, digital and environmental contexts. It reinforces recognisability while presenting the organisation with quiet confidence and coherence.
